Our new tote just came in this week and I am so in love with it! It's the perfect size for magazines, files and you can even use it as a laptop bag. So super cute and we even sold one out of the box the day we got them in! $325

Tinalak is a special kind of hand-woven abaca fabric unique to the ethnic T'boli tribe of Southern Mindanao in the Philippines. The rich color comes from vegetable dyes and the natural pigments from tree barks. There aren't many tinalak weavers anymore, in fact Philippine cultural institutions have declared the weavers from the T'boli tribe as national creative artists to support their weaving tradition. We were lucky enough to get our hands on some of this amazing fabric and made these gorgeous coco clutches! So cute and so perfect for summer!

i am totally obsessed with salvatore brooklyn ricotta cheese. it is total handmade goodness and the best ricotta i have ever had. i could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. seriously.
i buy mine at brooklyn larder. like a siren calling me from the subway station, brooklyn larder is a gourmet food shop from the owners of franny's -- my favorite neighborhood restaurant.
not to go all foodie on you or anything but just thought i would share some of my favorite ways of enjoying it.
this was a good one.
fried egg with oven brick long bread schmered with kale pesto, ricotta and white bean salad.
(all from brooklyn larder)
oven brick long bread (again -- it is my favorite!) with ricotta, dried figs with almonds in the center, drizzled with honey. YUM
my son's favorite -- pizza bianca.
